Auditing the Guest Card Terminal

Introduction

You can carry out 2 different types of audit at the guest card terminal: A full audit that includes the coin hoppers (called 'Box and Tubes'), or a standard audit that excludes the coin hoppers (called 'Box Only'). After carrying out the required audit at the terminal itself, the 'Loader Cash Tally' form in the back office must be completed. It is only after both of these functions have been completed, that this audit will be available for inclusion in any guest card terminal audit reports that you might like to take.

Note:

A 'Box and Tubes' audit including the coin hoppers is usually only carried out monthly or quarterly.

All audits

1. Insert your loader manager’s card.

2. Remove all the coins from the main coin box, and all the notes from the note stacker (leave the coin hopper tubes intact).

'Box Only' audit

1. Press the yellow 'Cancel' button to start the audit.

2. You will be given the option to add coins to the hoppers. If inserted, the number and value of each denomination will be shown on the terminal display and automatically recorded in the back office.

3. Press the green 'Accept' button to complete the audit.

'Box and Tubes' audit

1. Press the green 'Accept' button to start the audit.

2. The terminal will display a list of the coin hopper tubes, with a star next to the selected tube.  Press the green 'Accept' button for the terminal to empty the selected tube into the coin return tray.

3. Remove the coins from the return tray, then press the green 'Accept' button again for the next tube to be emptied.

4. Repeat instructions 3 and 4 until all of the coin hopper tubes have been emptied, and the coins removed.

Note:

There will always be up to 6 coins left in each coin hopper tube.  The system will record them as remaining float on the 'Loader Cash Tally' form .

In order to continue using the guest card terminal, its coin hoppers will require reloading. Do this as described in the section titled 'Loading the coin hoppers'. Afterwards you will need to complete the 'Add Loader Float' form. If this is not done, the system will start to enter negative coin hopper values as they begin to be used again for refunds.
