Offline / Online Mode

An IUMIS EPOS till will enter offline mode if it is unable to communicate with the central server in order to enable:

• The completion of transactions.
• Refresh of till data i.e. till map and stock information.
• Till startup
• Till cash up

When a till enters offline mode it will not attempt another server connection for the next 60 seconds.

Revert to Online Mode

An IUMIS EPOS till will revert back into online mode 60 seconds after re-connection with the server. To test the server connection, a till operator can touch the Red crest in the top left hand corner of the screen.

This icon means that the till is offline and operating in local mode only.

This icon means that the till is online and connected to the central server.
